Potten End Bowls Club was founded in 1929, and through a mixture of good management and competitive success, remains one of the friendliest bowls Clubs in Hertfordshire with a membership approaching 100. We have a very active social calendar all year round which includes regular quizzes, barbecues, fun bowls events and other special functions arranged throughout the year.
We are affiliated to Bowls England and also to Hertfordshire County Bowls. We have a busy bowling calendar with approximately 70 friendly matches against other Clubs, "turn up and try" days for new bowlers. We enter various representative trophy events throughout the summer such as the Ray and Griffin Cups.
As a Club we offer excellent facilities, with a private six-rink bowling green, fully-stocked bar, changing rooms, parking, a coaching scheme for new and existing members and regular email updates. At County and District level we occasionally host matches and competitions. We also host two open galas for visiting clubs.
